Just A Bit About Us
Our life together started in 2004, when we met working together at a fabulous non-profit in New York. We were married under the cherry blossoms in 2011. We became parents to our son, Kelvin, through open adoption in 2013.
Noah is currently an Executive at a non-profit based in Washington, D.C. According to Kim, he is so passionate about his career and so dedicated to his family. One of the nicknames Noah has around the apartment building is “Fun Noah†because the kids LOVE when he is around to play. His nephews have a name for him too, “Uncle Jungle Gym,†and that probably explains a lot!
Kim is working part-time at a non-profit in New York. In between working and adventures with Kelvin, she is training for the New York marathon. According to Noah, she is fun, smart, energetic, and the most caring person he has ever met.

Kelvin, aka Kel, aka Kel-Bell
Kelvin was born November of 2013, and thanks to his amazing birth parents we were able to be there when he was born. From the moment he was born, he was surrounded by love (and a lot of people)!
He has such a personality and the best smile on the planet. Everyone that meets him always says “wow, he is so happy.†We know it is because of all the love he receives in his life.
Kelvin is the star of a password protected blog we created when we got ‘the call’ and has a picture from every day of his life(Really… we haven’t missed ONE day). The blog is a passion of ours because we can share Kelvin daily with our family, friends, & birth families. No matter how far!

Open Adoption
We knew we always wanted open adoption, but were not prepared for what a positive impact it would have in our lives. We have formed such amazing relationships with both of Kelvin’s birth parents and their extended families. We have truly blended all the families (and friends) to the point where we have really opened the eyes of everyone involved on the power of this amazing gift. We are so excited to grow our family through open adoption. Our current families are all so excited to welcome the newcomers into our amazing community.

We love New York!
We live in New York City and love it more every day. Our condo is in an area of Queens called Long Island City which has amazing views of Manhattan. We have met so many families right in our area (even in our building). There are so many parks, play spaces, and museums that there is never a dull day; no matter the weather (except our recent cold winters – BRRRR).
One of the many things we love about our neighborhood is how diverse it is. It is something we love about our family too! The power of adoption embraces acceptance on so many levels and we are proud to be a part of this community.
